Is there a story that has stayed with you all your life? A story that first struck you when you were young and it still does? Or could it be something that your friend told you that made you wonder for a very long time?
It is recommended to let children go back to their favourite stories if they ask to. They might ask for the same bedtime story every evening, but that only reveals that the story relates somehow to the phase they are going through. The founder of LUV NORTH, Laura, admits that her first favourite story was Tarzan, because he was the rescuer not the rescued and – he got to climb trees. But that was only before Mulan. Mulan was the first true female hero to Laura. All in all, what made a story impressive for Laura was somebody breaking the rules and social conventions or demonstrating a powerful position.
The stories that keep impressing Laura nowadays are more often about real and deep encounters. During this time of Tinder and Snapchat she finds it fascinating when a friend sees all the effort to send a personal and thoughtful love letter. Yet again, a small great thing we can do to show that we care. To show that we love.
The other group of golden stories are then ones that are told by our grandparents. Laura sees that the perspective there is unique. For example, Laura was amazed by her grandmother’s story of how she went to Germany right after the Second World War to work in a kindergarten to feed the children properly.
All stories that can be defined to be golden have one inevitable feature in common: they last time. So does gold itself, the material. This is one reason, why the beautiful silver Story family is accompanied by the golden Short Story and the golden Bracelet. They are pure and they are strong. The 14 k pure gold lasts time and represents the next generation by being both light and strong. The golden colour will never fade.
Thus, in stories, there are the deep meaningful truths that make them last time. Some of them are respect, compassion, caring for and helping the others. These are all themes of which giving a golden jewel as a gift is a symbol.
Meaningful and true encounters and stories to you all!
